For starters from APX and all of our teammates and associates we say thank you for the continue support thru out 2017 and years prior. APX and all of our artist and partners involved have made some awesome memories, share some of our best memories below.
Early in 2017 Joe Robinson sat in with Editor Hailey Dukes for in an in-depth look on how his business works. Also they chatted about how the music business has changed from how people to receive music and they sell it.
For the 3rd year in a row, APX went back to the world renowned festival SXSW to take control of a super talented filled stage. Hosting artist from all over the United States they all came out in full satisfaction for the festival.
Mayor Dave Bing and BINGO Program featured a breakfast and panel featuring some of Detroit's Premier Entreprenuers and educators. Joe Robinson was featured on this panel amongst his peers Tommey Walker, Niles Heron, Everett Tate, Shawn Blanchard and Aaron Dawson
40oz Van and Devin Cobbs continued the consistency of a really great event in Detroit with APX for the fourth and fifth time in a row. However they brought along some friends. D'usse and Optimo came along to set the tone with an open Bar and free merchandise for the night.
Supakaine along with Young RJ and Guilty Simpson started the second half of 2017 off right by hitting the International Music Festival in Johannesburg South Africa.
Ever Since Ghetto America dropped in 2015 Supakaine has been very active so active that he built a pretty high antiscipation for this project. This was Supakaines best work this album was well produced and featured some prime artist from Detroit.
Rolling out magazine published and editorial online about the top millennial entrepreneurs across Detroit our Joe Robinson made the cut.
The mrkt pop-up shop opened up downtown Detroit. It featured exclusive merchandise from local vendors and APX
Earlly Mac premiered this exclusive merchandise following the release of Cousin Trap EP
Via. Pulse publishing Earlly Mac was able to get in and flex his pen on this record. No Limit also ended up going Number 1 on Billboard urban Radio and registered Platinum w/ RIAA
At the end of the summer Supakaine picked up on Tour with Def Jam signed artist Amir Obe, they covered a few major cities in the midwest.
During the winter months Wax Motif connected with Earlly Mac and Prada Leary at the studio which lead to some really fire music soon to release.
During Lugz winter campaign they paid a visit to Detroit to link with Supakaine, Guilty Simpson and more as influencers.
W$Kharri lands some of his best beats on Cash Money Records signed Artist Jacquees. This Record also landed on BillBoard Urban Chart.
Following the small event Earlly Mac and Joe Robinson hosted on how to build your credit scores and build financial freedom the event inspired Entrepreneur, writer Fairo Rafa to give an honorable mention amongst legends.
2017 is closing and 2018 is right around the corner and APX is headed back to Austin Texas for SXSW and you can expect something bigger and better. In the last three years we took the helm at SXSW with Zagland (I and II) and “Year 3. All the events consecutively proved to they deserved to be amongst all the great events produced at SXSW. We’ve have had many many guest including Major Label artist such as OG Maco, SD 300, Joey Fatts, Chuck Inglish, Jevon Doe, Reese, Ian Connor, Key Wane, Earlly Mac, Supakaine, Prada Leary, AD, Icewear Vezzo, Chase-n-Cashe and many more.
